Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], November 20: Bhumi, one of India’s largest independent youth-volunteer non-profits, today announced a major milestone for its flagship Skill-Ed employability program: since 2021, the program has trained over 20,000 underprivileged youth, 58% of whom are women. In the 2024–25 batch alone, it has facilitated 3,471 job placements across reputed companies. At a time when the India Skills Report 2024 estimates 52% of graduates are unemployable, Skill-Ed is equipping disadvantaged youth with industry-relevant technical and soft skills and creating a direct pathway from training to employment.
